Your movie screenshots, as a watchlist
For everyone with a camera roll full of trailers, posters and “you have to watch this”.
The problem
You see a trailer, a poster or a recommendation and take a screenshot so you don’t forget it. Months later it’s buried between hundreds of other screenshots, and when you finally sit down to watch something, you don’t remember any of them.
What Gistshot does
- It reads the screenshot. On your iPhone, with Apple Intelligence: the title, a link if there is one, and why you saved it.
- It adds one line to “Movies & shows”, a list in Apple Reminders. You see it on your iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch, and you check it off once you’ve watched it.
- It lets you delete the image. Only after you see what stays in the list and confirm. iOS keeps it 30 days in Recently Deleted, just in case.
If it isn’t sure what the movie is, it doesn’t guess: the screenshot goes to Review and you decide.
What works
- Trailers and posters from YouTube, Instagram or TikTok.
- A message from a friend with a title in it.
- A streaming app’s page, a review, a list of recommendations.
- Series too: they go to the same list.
And the rest of your screenshots
Books, videos, music, things to buy, places, recipes and ideas each go to their own list. Your camera roll ends up with no screenshots, and nothing you wanted to remember is lost.
