Questions

Everything about turning screenshots into reminders and deleting them safely.

Does Gistshot delete my screenshots on its own?

No. Screenshots it has read move to a “Catalogued” album, and deleting is a separate step: you see the thumbnails and what stays in Reminders before you confirm. iOS also keeps them for 30 days in Recently Deleted.

How do I delete all my old screenshots on iPhone without losing anything?

Open Gistshot and let it read your screenshots in batches. Each one becomes a line in the right Reminders list. When you’re done, review the “Catalogued” album and delete them all in one go: the gist stays, the images go.

Are my screenshots uploaded to a server?

By default they are read on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence. If you choose the cloud engine, a screenshot travels only for that one reading and is not stored. Anything that looks like a code or a password never leaves your phone.

What if it doesn’t understand a screenshot?

It goes to the Review list and tells you why. You can fix it with one tap or skip it, and skipping never deletes anything. Gistshot doesn’t guess: we’d rather ask you than save made-up data.

Where do the lists live?

In Apple Reminders, one list per type (Movies & shows, Books, Videos, Music & podcasts, To buy, Places, Recipes, Repos, Skills, Ideas & notes), each with its own color. You see them on your iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch, and you check them off as usual.

Does it work automatically?

Yes, if you want. Gistshot works with the Shortcuts “Screenshot” automation in iOS 27, so each new screenshot can be read as soon as you take it. You can also open the app and process them whenever you like.

Which iPhones does it work on?

It needs iOS 27. Reading on the phone uses Apple Intelligence, which is available on iPhone 15 Pro and later. On other models you can use the cloud engine.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. iPhone comes first; Android is planned. Join the waitlist and we’ll let you know.

How much does it cost?

Pricing isn’t final. Whatever it is, the price and free trial will be clear before you pay, and canceling is easy.
